Crystal Image was formed in Austin, TX during the mid-70s by a group of stellar high school musicians.  By the time they had graduated, they had already made a name for themselves in Austin, playing gigs in all of the local clubs.  They hired a manager and started playing the regional club circuits.  Crystal Image became a house band for Mother Earth and was well known for their skill and showmanship.

As the years went by, by the early 80s, members were going in different directions, and Crystal Image went through changes in personnel, never losing their founding members, until a fateful accident claimed the life of a band member and almost crippled another.  The band went on a very long hiatus.

After some years of playing with other bands, the core members of Crystal Image got back together for a reunion gig.  It was so successful that the band reformed and started getting gigs again.  After a reunion gig for Threadgil's (original location), the band again started regular gigs in the Austin area.

Since that time, the band has gone through several changes, resulting in their current lineup; ready to bring a rock and roll party to your next event!
